Classification and Identification of Crystal Heads
2024-05-26
Crystal head is a plastic connector that can be inserted in a fixed direction and automatically prevent detachment, commonly known as "crystal head". The professional term is RJ-45 connector (RJ-45 is a network interface specification, similar to RJ-11 interface, which is the "telephone interface" we usually use to connect telephone lines). It is called the "crystal head" because of its crystal clear appearance. The crystal head is suitable for on-site termination between equipment or horizontal subsystems, and the shell material is high-density polyethylene. Each twisted pair cable is connected to a network card and hub (or switch) at both ends by installing crystal heads. It is a plastic connector that can be inserted in a fixed direction and automatically prevent detachment, used for network communication. It is named "Crystal Head" because of its crystal like appearance. Mainly used to connect network card ports, hubs, switches, telephones, etc.

The RJ11 interface is similar to the RJ45 interface, but only has 4 pins (8 for RJ45). In computer systems, RJ11 is mainly used to connect modem modems.
In daily applications, RJ-11 is commonly used in telephone lines.
RJ-45
RJ-45 connector: Each twisted pair cable is connected to a network card and hub (or switch) at both ends by installing an RJ-45 connector (commonly known as a crystal head).
The RJ-45 plug is a plastic connector that can only be inserted in a fixed direction and automatically prevents detachment. Both ends of the twisted pair cable must be equipped with this RJ-45 plug in order to be plugged into the RJ-45 interface of a network card (NIC), hub, or switch for network communication.
